Overview
According to ministerial resolution number 826 on 13-7-1997 to issue the internal regulation of the Faculty of Commerce (SCU) in Ismailia. The economics department is one of the major departments in the Faculty of Commerce (SCU). The department works on enriching students scientifically and cognitively, enabling them to achieve a unique developed role in competing with different graduates from the Faculty of Commerce or other faculties. The department's role is extended to offering research consulting services matching the updates and economic, political, social, and technological developments.

Organize academic staff members and cooperative bodies’ roles by providing professors and students exchanging programs among international universities through organizing scientific conferences.
Empower scientific publications using the faculty’s magazine that covers multiple scientific economic knowledge branches.
Integrate with executive and legislative institutions. We are offering consultations and practical objective opinion that enhances stability and development in Egypt.
Cooperate with international universities, institutions, and international research bodies to conduct mutual studies and research that promote researchers’ skills, increase classification level, and support department and university’s rank among scientific classification.
